August 19 & 21

The LBTHC made a major step forward in the achievement of one of its primary goals, the preservation of the historical structures such as the Evans House and the Meeting House, in the Preserve, known as the Welsh Baptist Historic District.

LBTHC invites you and your family to visit the newly designated Welsh Baptist Historic District to celebrate this achievement! Come see for yourself, this summer event 2021 Town Tour and Village Walks program - featuring the one and only Welsh Baptist Historic District/Mason Dixon Line as the Grand Finale! The theme for this event is Chester County…. “Journeying Toward Freedom” with programs focusing on the founding principles and sites in Chester County that are intrinsic to our nation’s history as well as have had a profound impact on the cause for freedom-and the Welsh Baptist community is prominently featured in this event. Participation is a combination of virtual and in-person presentations on topics of Quaker values of tolerance, to the boundary disputes with Maryland and drawing of the Mason Dixon Line, to the abolitionists and freedom seekers.
