Help Shape the Future of Parks, Trails, Open Space and Natural Resources in London Britain Township!

This past February, London Britain Township officially kicked off the update of its Open Space, Recreation, and Environmental Resources (OSRER) Plan, and we want your voice to be part of the process.

The current OSRER Plan was adopted in 1992, and a lot has been accomplished in the Township since then. This update is an opportunity to take a fresh look at our parks, open spaces, trails, and natural resources and create a shared vision for how they can be protected and enjoyed now and into the future.

What is an OSRER Plan?

The Open Space, Recreation, and Environmental Resources Plan serves as a roadmap for the Township. It helps identify and prioritize opportunities for preserving open space, improving recreational amenities, and protecting important environmental resources. Township officials, boards, and commissions will use this plan to guide decisions and investments in a thoughtful, strategic, and cost‑effective way—ensuring that current and future residents can continue to enjoy everything that makes London Britain Township special.

How Can You Get Involved?

Community input is essential to the success of this plan. The best plans reflect the people who live, work, and play in the Township—and that means we need your ideas, experiences, and priorities.

There will be many opportunities to get involved throughout the planning process:

·         Share your ideas and feedback at public meetings

o   First Public Meeting (Open House style): June 4^th 5:30 – 7:00 @ Township Building

Make your voice heard by completing the survey (online or paper /in the newsletter which is being mailed out in the next few weeks)

·         Follow project updates and explore materials on the project webpage

Your participation will help ensure that the final OSRER Plan truly reflects the community’s values and can be realistically implemented with available resources.
