Ordinance regulating Transient Merchants and Solicitors adopted 9/27/10
At the 9/27/10 Board of Supervisors meeting an Ordinance regulating Transient Merchants and Solicitors was adopted. In brief, the Ordinance makes it unlawful for any person, not exempted by Section 6 of the Ordinance, who is not the holder of a valid and unexpired license issued pursueant to this Ordinance to engage in selling, purchasing or soliciting the sale or purchase of food, printed matter, services, goods, wares or merchandise of any description, or in soliciting contributions, gifts or pledges of money or any other thing of value, by visitation to private homes or residences, business establishments, or on public streets or highways within the legal boundaries of the Township of London Britain.
Effective immediately all those listed above will be required to obtain a Solicitation license from LBT. See sample Solicitation license photo is above. The license will be signed by the Township Secretary.
